Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was simply fantastic! The rooms were gorgeous and spacious, equipped with lots of amenities. Sharing a private swimming pool and sitting room with another suite downstairs added to the intimate experience. The service was top-notch, with Declan going above and beyond to ensure a truly unforgettable stay in beautiful Franschhoek. The location was perfect, just a short and safe walk to delicious restaurants, wineries, and surrounded by the stunning vineyards. The dining experience was nothing short of a feast, offering a variety of delicious dishes that made every meal a delight. Overall, a highly recommended hotel with excellent value for money.
The hotel blew me away with its exquisite fresh light colonial style decor in the rooms, complete with high ceilings, a 4 poster bed, dressing room, twin-sinked marble bathroom area, separate double shower area, and a lovely freestanding copper bath tub. The balcony with a hot tub was a highlight that added to the insane comfort of the room. However, heating the hot tub was a bit of a task. The library, orangery, and bedrooms were a charming touch to the overall experience.
I felt like I was in a little piece of paradise at the Oortguing building. The suites were stocked with everything I could ask for, from cuddle pools to high-tech amenities. The open conservatory was a dream with afternoon and post-dinner cocktails, live music, and a cozy fireplace. The attention to detail truly made me feel pampered.
